Evaluation device
The MVB evaluation device processes the signals coming from the measuring head, as well as measured values necessary for pressure and temperature compensation. The device provides digital processing for measurement values, and in conjunction with the PIER-ELECTRONIC measuring heads, it can be employed universally. This is also valid for measuring heads that have already been installed at users?sites.
The use of this device is possible for all typical cases of reflection and transmission measurement. In the standard version, up to 100 selectable measurement programs can be stored. The changeover can take place both automatically and through external controls.
With a configuration software, which is available as an option, the measuring programs can be easily maintained on a PC and can be loaded into the evaluation device, for example, via a network connection.
The Operator input takes place by means of a menu-guided graphic display and a film keyboard. The remote control of the device is possible through a standard web browser.
With an integrated recording function, measurement values can be stored in real time and displayed as a scalable curve. The recording of data and the application programs are stored in a portable 16 MB storage card. In contrast, the non-volatile calibration data is stored in a separate, write/read memory.
